Founded in 1969, ASPESI is known for its ‘no-statement statement’ approach to style that values well-crafted, timeless garments. The partnership between RSF and ASPESI is conceived as a celebration of Milanese design heritage, rooted in exceptional manufacturing know-how as well as a natural curiosity and approach to style.

This collaboration is built on two iconic pieces from both brands: RSF’s Milano silhouette and ASPESI’s iconic Mod.13 double-sided over-shirt, both infused with their signature playful approach to design.

Since its beginnings, ASPESI sought to elevate everyday style by reinventing casual basics. Its pioneering approach brought the essence, humor and minimalism of Japanese style to Italian fashion, merging it with the unique Milanese urban sensibility. Some of the brand’s most iconic products include Japanese chambray shirts, while ASPESI can also be credited with introducing the down jacket as a staple outerwear piece.
Attentive to contemporary visual culture, architecture and art, ASPESI has always stood out for its unique campaigns, created by some of the most iconic photographers and art directors. With Lawrence Steele currently at its creative helm, ASPESI has re-affirmed its position as one of the most established names on the Milanese fashion landscape.

The partnership between RSF and ASPESI celebrates the two brands’ Milanese heritage and future, bringing their distinctive, playful approach to the table. The collaboration is built on a cross-contamination of two iconic pieces from the brands: RSF’s Milano and ASPESI’s Mod.13.

RSF’s Milano is a sleek shape characterized by a wide, low-riding frame. The model’s rectangular lenses and protruding temple-tips make a nod towards classic 1950s shapes. An unobtrusive, yet unique model, Milano is the perfect match for ASPESI’s minimalist approach to design. The collaboration is available in two versions: a timeless all black with matching lenses, as well as bold, statement, version in shiny silver with matching silver mirrored lenses. A unique detail elevates both pieces: an unexpected hand-made third eye décor is hidden in the interior nose-bridge. The eyewear is finalized with exclusive inscriptions inside and outside of the temples and exclusive packaging.

ASPESI’s Mod.13 is a sleek, padded, ultra-soft oversized Nylon overshirt that may be worn for a variety of uses, from an everyday classic to an upscale piece due to its design details. Together Retrosuperfuture and ASPESI designed an exclusive double-sided version with an unexpected touch. One side is composed of a super thin technical black Japanese membrane, while the other side is a military green shiny nylon with the hand-sewn bright orange patch on the back, stating the collaboration’s description.

The RSF / ASPESI is a fresh partnership between two Milanese fashion icons, designed to celebrate timeless design with a twist. The collaboration is available online and through selected RSF and ASPESI retail channels.

“It is said that a military uniform is a symbol of a soldier's identity, while sunglasses provide a veil of obscurity, allowing one to witness the world without revealing their true self. And yet, when a third eye is nestled within the frame of those shades, the world becomes anew - a kaleidoscope of colors, perspectives, and possibilities, waiting to be seen through a different lens.

In bringing together the military uniform and sunglasses, adorned with a third eye, one embodies the very essence of an adventurer - daring to unearth new outlooks while safeguarding their identity, as they wander into uncharted territories.”

“Growing up in Milano In the late 80s, I always loved Aspesi’s ability to be so minimally essential yet so playfully fresh! We were thrilled of the possibility of working with an iconic brand like Aspesi and a creative director whom we respect so much like Lawrence Steele.”
