T-shirt ASPESI "Silenzio" x Leon Japan - Issue 247

The iconic SILENCE T-shirt was born in the 1990s, when Robert Frank, a revolutionary American neo-realist photographer, signed a partnership with ASPESI. With a genuine, unfiltered style, Robert Frank highlighted social changes and innovated the language of photographic reportage.

For ASPESI, he has created outstanding advertising campaigns. Countless times he referred to SILENCE, during the day's work; for him, the sound of that word, in Italian, surpassed the evocative appeal of its own meaning. Alberto Aspesi paid tribute to his friend Robert Frank with a special SILENCE T-shirt, which has been part of the ASPESI wardrobe ever since.
